An Outdoor GreatRoom would not be complete without an outdoor fireplace. The Sonoma Gas Fireplace is the focal point of this GreatRoom. This is a modular outdoor fireplace which comes in five pieces (six if you count the gas log set) and can be easily carried to the backyard and assembled in less than 30 minutes. All you have to do is put the gas log set in place, hook it up to a gas line, and you have a beautiful fireplace as part of your Outdoor GreatRoom!

Construction
The fireplace insert, mantel and top cap is made of GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete). The fireplace surround is made using a galvanized frame system with Hardibacker® board and exterior stucco. The fireplace comes with a complete vent free gas log set that is UL approved for outdoor use. It includes the logs and burner. The unit does not come with glass doors, and at the present time, glass doors are not an option.

All you need is a level flat surface. It could be a wood deck, concrete, brick pavers, or other decking materials.  The stucco can be painted, but not the GFRC pieces.

Performance.
The log set will burn 60,000 BTU’s per hour.  One of the most amazing features of the new fireplace is the Patented Gas log set!....It is incredible!!....The gas log set is vent free that was developed specifically for these fireplaces.  It has a wind resistant pilot, a stainless burner system and grate, it kicks out 60,000 BTU’s of beautiful eye-popping dancing yellow & orange flames…..and yet does not require a chimney!

The fireplace will burn 7 ½ hours on a 20 pound tank. The log set is not convertible so you need to order either an LP unit or a NG unit depending on which you plan to use. The minimum size LP tank the fireplace can be connected to is a 20 pound tank. The gas log set is a vent free gas log set and does not require a chimney. Burning anything other than NG or LP is prohibited.

Screened Porches
The unit is not UL approved for this application, but there should not be any problem provided the following guidelines are followed:
•  Minimum porch area: 96 square feet
•  Minimum ceiling height: 92 inches
•  Minimum of two walls must be screened
•  Minimum top of screen height side walls: 6' - 8 ".
•  Minimum screen area: 64 square feet

Warranty
The product has a one year warranty for the original owner.

Maintenance
It is recommended that the GFRC pieces of the fireplace be sealed once a year using a concrete sealer that can be found at a local hardware store.
 

Shipping
Shipping is by common carrier (tractor and trailer). The fireplace is shipped in a total of 6 boxes that together weigh 400 pounds. Remember the truck driver is only responsible for getting the load to the back of the truck so make sure you have some help available to unload the boxes.
